Not everyone wants the grassy brightness of matcha. Hojicha is green tea that has been roasted, which gives it warm, nutty notes and makes it naturally low in caffeine, a lovely tea for the evening. Wakōcha is Japanese black tea: malty, smooth and gentler than the black tea most people know. Both come in a 30 gram tin and as loose leaves in a 100 gram pouch, for the teapot.

Things clutter a cupboard; an afternoon stays with you. Our Matcha Workshop is a 90 minute, hands-on session at our café on Kinkerstraat 334 for up to 8 guests. You grind matcha on a traditional granite stone mill, learn to whisk it, and taste and compare different grades. The Premium option includes a 30 gram tin of our ceremonial matcha to take home. It makes a lovely gift to book for two, so you can go together.

Let them choose. Our gift card can be any amount from 20 to 1,000 euro, arrives by email straight away and is active within 24 hours. It is redeemable at our café on Kinkerstraat 334 and valid for two years, so there is no rush.
